Rev. Phillip A. Jackson

The Rev. Phillip A. Jackson was named Priest-in-charge of Trinity Church Wall Street in January 2020, after serving as Vicar since 2015. As Priest-in-charge, Rev. Jackson performs all duties of the Rector, including acting as the spiritual leader of the parish, managing operations, parish programs, the clergy, staff, and all resources and facilities of the church.

Before coming to Trinity, Rev. Jackson was the Rector of Christ Church of the Ascension in Paradise Valley, AZ; Christ Church in Detroit, MI; Canon at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Detroit; and Vicar of Incarnation Episcopal Church in Houston, TX. Prior to his ordination in 1994, he was an attorney in Honolulu specializing in commercial litigation.

Rev. Jackson holds a bachelor’s degree in history cum laude from Amherst College, where he currently sits on the Board of Trustees. He also serves on the Boards of the City University of New York Law School Foundation; The Revson Foundation; The Anglican Communion Compass Rose Society; the Mead Art Museum at Amherst College; and the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History President’s Council.

He was awarded a Juris Doctorate from Yale Law School, and a Master of Divinity from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley, CA.

Rev. Jackson is married to Page Underwood, an attorney.
